GreenPoint Rating system

The GreenPoint Rating is provided by Build It Green,  a professional non-profit membership organization whose mission is to promote healthy, energy and resource-efficient buildings in California.  We expect the comprehensive GreenPoint Rating system to soon be:

1. an itegral part of the Multiple Listing Service, and
2. widely adapted as a home sustainability and health reference nationwide

mortgagegreen is the first lender to adapt a green rating system as a integral part of all real estate financing transactions, nationwide.  

1.   Using Click here for GreenPoint Rating  Clients can download, print and assess the property themselves.

2.   We order a GreenPoint assessment, to be completed by the appraiser, during the appraisal process.  The $100 cost is charged to the Client and reimbursed by Mortgagegreen at the close of escrow.

3.   A full-scale GreenPoint Rating, by a certified GreenPoint Rater, is now available in California at an additional cost of $500-700, paid by the borrower. 

Loan discounts for GreenPoint Rated homes.  

Mortgagegreen further discounts their already low pricing with Greensave loans;  1/8% interest rate discounts or 1/4% cash rebate for green-rated homes.
